Arusha National Park was Ngurdoto Crater Highland National Park until 1967. The current national park covers an area of 137 sq km/53 sq mi and is located near the town of Arusha between Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. The park and town derive their name from the Wa-Arusha people who traditionally live in this area. You will get to know the Ngurdoto Crater,

Momella Lakes, highland montane forest, and the rugged Mount Meru (4,565 m/14,977 ft). The park has a wealth of wildlife including Colobus Monkeys, velvet monkeys, bushbucks, buffalos, red forest duikers, hippos, elephants, and giraffes.

Day 3

Full day Game Drive at Lake Manyara national park

Lake Manyara National Park nests at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. Wildlife at Lake Manyara is not restricted to birdlife only. Many game animals such as Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Impala, hippo, and a great variety of smaller animals also inhabit the park. Lake Manyara is also renowned for its tree-climbing lions which spend most of the day spread out along the branches of acacia trees six to seven meters above the ground.

The park contains the most pachyderms per km sq. in Tanzania. As visitors enter the gate, they pass into the lush forest, home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Buffalo and hippo lurch in the adjacent Hippo Pool. The vegetation eventually merges into flat-topped acacia woodland where, in the heat of the day entire pride of lion can be seen stretched on the branches of these trees – a habit prevalent to Manyara lions. Along with these amazing tree-climbing lions, there are the usual browsers and grazers as well as the curious-looking banded mongoose. Two-thirds of the park is dominated by the slightly alkaline lake which is home to a huge variety of waterbirds

You will spend a night at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge

Day 4

Full day Game Drive at Ngorongoro national park

After an early breakfast, the day will start with a drive up the steep slopes of the East African Rift Valley to the Ngorongoro Crater, you will pick up lunch boxes and mineral water with you from the hotel. Afterward, it continues on rough roads about 600 meters downwards into the crater. The crater has a diameter of 17-21 kilometers and is the home of a great animal kingdom. Nearly all the biodiversity of the East African savannah is gathered here, only giraffes and a few other animal species for which the rock faces are too steep do not live in the crater. Depending on the season, 15,000 to 25,000 animals are gathered here, more than two-thirds are buffaloes, gnus, zebras, and gazelles. This large number of grazers also explains why the crater contains the largest density of predators in Africa. Besides other predators, more than 100 lions live here in several feelings of pride. The chances of watching the “Big Five” lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard within just a few hours are particularly good. After lunch, we drive up and out of the steep crater walls and then head to Serengeti

National Park

You will spend a night at Tanzania Bush Camps

Day 5

Full day Game Drive at Serengeti national park

After breakfast, we will start the game drive where the vast savanna of the southern Serengeti opens before you. The park was founded in 1951 and is thus the oldest one in Tanzania. He is the heart of a vast ecosystem, whose species-rich animal world is unique in the world. Together with the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Maasai Mara National

Reserve in Kenya, the Serengeti National Park is one of the largest natural migration systems for wild animals. Annually between the three mentioned conservation areas migrate over 1.4 million gnus, almost 300,000 Thomson´s gazelles, about 200,000 zebras, and several thousand topis with the rainy seasons to the areas with the greener and lush meadows. With about 3 million larger mammals, the Serengeti is the national park with the richest wildlife worldwide. Around two-thirds

make up the above-mentioned animal species, furthermore, the park is the home to many other animal species, such as giraffes, buffalo, hyenas, elephants, or crocodiles. Particularly large is the population of feline predators, about 3000 lions, a good 300 cheetahs, and an estimated 400-700 leopards have their hunting ground here.

Set between the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, the gorge makes a good stop if you’re traveling between the two, rewarding visitors with a presentation on its history, an excellent new

museum, and beautiful views – as well as the possibility of visiting an active dig and then after that you will drive to Karatu via Ngorongoro Crater. Both conservation areas are not separated by fences, on the way you can observe with some luck some more wildlife. In the late afternoon, you will return to Karatu with many impressions of your safari where you will spend the night at Bougainvillea properties.

The outlet Lake Natron is the home of a remarkable variety of birds, in particular about 2.5 million dwarf flamingos; the lake serves them as a regular breeding ground. The water is strongly saline and the basis of life for unicellular algae and bacteria, which are responsible for the planar red-brown to the purple-violet coloring of the lake. The area around Lake Natron is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled regions in Africa. The park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in the north of Tanzania but is also home to many other wild animals. With some luck, you can spot lions, cheetahs, or leopards. The landscape of the park is very diverse. Especially the huge baobab trees, which are located close together in the north-eastern sector of the park, are particularly impressive

After a welcome and an insight into the village life, it goes with some men on common hunting. The hunt takes place at a fairly fast pace, especially when an animal is spotted. The Hadzabe hunts antelopes and gazelles, but also smaller animals such as birds or mongooses. In the late morning, you will visit then the Datoga tribe. These pastoralists are also skilled blacksmiths. They collect metal scrap, which they cleverly process into bracelets, arrowheads, and knives.
